Apologies for twice in one day (woof) but I decided to cheer myself by indulging a little Snottydin. Everybody else has sent me so many awesome Snottydin posts that I haven’t actually updated her myself since the inaugural post. I know it’s the cheapest joke in the world but, hell’s bells, I find it ceaselessly entertaining.
Anyway, a while back the DDK left me a comment about a bad Ony-25 run and, since he was responsible for Snottydin in the first place, I thought I was due a little payback.
Let me dig out the comment from the achives just so you know the context:
Mages.. lemme tell ya.
I was in a onyxia 25 pug yesterday. And there was this mage… Grrr (yes actual growling)
He too had decided that I was a complete asshole. You see, I had the balls nay, i DARED join the group when they asked for a dps, and then i was okay with tanking when they found out they only had one tank. (i know, im such an ass). And i had this weird title on my name, that proved I had done something in a raid that was hard (im very proud of my starcaller title (-: )
Afterwards I could do nothing right. when the ret palas decided to stun the mobs so that they where rooted and we got two mobs at once (and the healers couldnt figure out how to heal two tanks) and we wiped, he started ranting (in caps) about how the tanks sucked).
Afterwards my positioning of onyxia was “weird” (yea tanking her away from the raid is bad) and it seemed I was such a bad tank, that he could only put out 2k dps (less than me, and i was.. tanking) on the fight. Which included the aoe dragonlings.
And when the dps died to the flames in p2, guess who’s fault that was? (you guessed it).
What was weird was, that I just took it. It must be a leftover behaviour from when I was a healer. Back then we just took the crap and complained in healer channels
Anyways he left the raid fairly quick. And like you the only thing that bugs me, was that now he is out *there* firm in his conviction that he is imba, and that I was a horrible tank. Dispite the fact that I have the achievements and personal reference to prove him wrong (he hadn’t completed any raids worth mentioning).
I guess some of us tanks, can sign onto that manifesto – at least in the spirit it was given

By the way, if anybody is feeling Snottyish, posts are always very welcome (you can find contact details under the About Us page). I still have a couple in the queue but, alas, I’m running a bit low. Possibly it is time to retire poor old Snotty but I do find her immensely cathartic. Also I’m feeling increasingly guilty about the number of poor unfortunate souls who stumble upon her words and don’t seem to quite realise she’s, uh, well, don’t tell her, but that she’s parody.
PS – Why do I get more traffic from Snottydin than from, say, my own blog name!?! I knew it, it’s finally happened. Snotty has eclipsed me.

Also, I’ve found your frequent Identity Crises while commenting on my blog absolutely hilarious by the way. I keep getting these comments from Snotty and then from You and then From You replacing Snotty.
Just warn us all before you start purchasing loads of Pink Plate! Perhaps you need to have a backup plan with Chas in case one day you just decide that being male IRL is soooo not as fun *blush*
I think the problem is once you make a mistake once, you’re self-conscious about making it … and therefore, of course, you make it again. I should have created a new email address for Snotty but I had no idea she was going to be anything but a one-joke show (okay, she’s still a one joke show but we keep doing curtain calls) and now I’m stuck with having this blog constantly associated with my primary frivolous email address. I knew it was going to happen eventually and I was going to inadvertantly comment as Snotty but FOUR TIMES IN A ROW? ON THE SAME BLOG?!
I think I should just give up and admit that Snotty is the real blog and the real me and Tam is just one-joke parody I write occasionally…

Funnily enough, as someone who is generally oblivious to the most obvious of facts, I didn’t realize that Snottydin was, uhm, your alter ego until the mistaken comments!

Hi Tam, I would imagine the only reason Snottydin gets more traffic (though her shy *blush* is always full of win) is because most of your faithful readers get your posts via feeds or google reader… so you wouldn’t necessarily see the traffic.
It wasn’t a serious concern
But, of course, she is a girl irl and can solo heal anything so … it was bound to happen eventually 
I don’t think Tam has quite accepted just how popular he is! Looking right now he has… 253 subscribers through google reader. We’re like a silent cult following.

God, I had totally forgotten about that raid. Thank you for forcing me to relive this (my psychiatrist will send you a bill)!
I might just indulge myself in more snottydin posts soon again. Let me tell you all, it is great fun writing it, and very cathartic! So go on, give it a go!
